You Learn Something New Everyday

I am not a big sports fan at all, but today when I was working at the gym I was watching the Georgetown vs. Providence game on TV. The game was played at New England's Premier Sports & Entertainment Arena, known as the Dunkin Dounts Center, this is what I learned today. What a great way for Dunkin' Donuts to advertise their products and connecting to an active life style. The Dunkin' Donuts Center is home to the AHL Bruins, numerous basketball teams and hosts many events, such as concerts. I think this was a brillant idea on the behalf of the advertisers for Dunkin' Donuts. With millions of people passing in and out of the center, it is the ideal place to get a brand messages out and to promote your product, in this case Dunkin' Donuts product line.

The Calorie Count of Starbucks.

Next time you're at Starbucks to get your favorite Starbucks frappuccino, if you're trying to be healthy and are the type to count calories, you may want to avoid the frap and replace it with passion tea (unsweetened). Lets take a closer look.. Ingredients in Starbucks Frappuccino: 1 1/2 cups crushed iced 2-1 ounce shots of espresso 3/4 cup your choice of milk 3 tablespoons sugar (more or less depending on preference) optional whipped cream in a can or freshly made and chocolate syrup Ingredients in Starbucks passion tea (unsweetened): 6 Tazo passion tea bags. 3/4 cup of sugar 1 tablespoon of raspberry syrup. Ice 16 oz water As you can see, the passion tea sounds a lot healthier than the Frappuccino seems. The frap has 2 1/4 as much sugar as the passion tea does. The espresso and whipped cream add more calories to the drink as well. Incase you didn't know, any kind of tea is extremely healthy for you. So next time you make a trip to Starbucks, and coffee is not on your mind, when deciding between drinks, keep the calorie count in mind (that is if you care).
